In order to bring training and development programs and publications to professionals in the greater Yellowstone Region, the Big Sky ATD (Association for Talent Development) chapter was formed in 1982. The chapter meets regularly in-person and online and works to provide a dynamic forum that will enable a community of practitioners to share resources and support the personal and professional growth of its members and the community at large.
Our chapter is managed by a Board of Directors. Each Director agrees to serve for a minimum of 2 years. The Board members participate in meetings and retreats to keep the Chapter on track with its Mission and Vision and to discuss upcoming Learning Events and Networking opportunities. Chapter Members can view the Board Meeting Minutes and Yearly Report in the Members-Only section of this website.
ATD National is the parent organization that supports all local chapters as well as International professionals and chapters. ATD National creates chapter operating requirements (CORE) for each Chapter to ensure professionals everywhere are receiving comparable value for their membership.
ATD National also provides a Competency Model for all professionals as a way to mold the future of the profession. Our Chapter uses this model to plan all events; all speakers are asked to focus on these competencies while presenting to the chapter. The Competency Model is shown on the home page.
